After the order

After the order is placed, the time schedule for shipping your vehicle is decided and you are informed about the same by the truck driver or any other concerned personnel. Of course, the time for the shipment of your vehicle is planned according to your preferred date on the order form.

At the time of pickup your car will be inspected physically for preparing it original condition report on bill of lading which you are supposed to sign and acknowledge. Upon delivery, the same kind of inspection is carried out and compared with the original condition report.

In case of finding any damage or discrepancies make a note of it on the bill of lading and get it signed by the truck driver. This entitles you for claiming against the damages.

No articles in the car

Vehicle movers are not allowed to carry any household goods because they are not licensed for it. Transporting any household goods while carrying vehicle might make them liable to pay a fine of $10,000. Additionally, anything you put in the car won't have the insurance coverage.

Time Scheduling

It's always better if you inform the vehicle mover about you preferred date of shipping your vehicle two or three weeks prior to moving. This helps the mover to ascertain the scheduling of pickup time for you vehicle within your preferred time frame.

Another option in case of an immediate move is dropping your vehicle off at the the terminal or the vehicle mover can pickup the car within 24 hours to get it to the terminal. In most of the bigger cities, the vehicle movers have terminals from where they can load the vehicle into their transporting vehicle.

Modes of payment

You can pay the vehicle mover with cashier checks or credit cards. Any method of payment is acceptable to all vehicle movers. Money order or personal checks can be used to pay the full amount prior to scheduled pickup of the vehicle if it is arranged.

Typically, you need to deposit some advance to get your order booked. The advance is usually $150. In case of using a credit card to pay the advance, the balance can be paid by cash or cashier check only at the time of delivery. Any form of payment other than this is not acceptable.
